Kau Coffee is a famous coffee variant grown and cultivated in Hawaii. It possesses a distinctive cherry, chocolate and coconut flavor alongside citrus and floral hint of orchids. The distinctive volcanic soil and Hawaii's tropical climate made it possible for the Kau coffee to reach its distinct taste. Kau coffee is a famous coffee variant not just in Hawaii but in the rest of the world as well.

Production of Kau coffee was the primary business venture of Lori Obra and her late husband Rusty. At that time they were both retired professionals and were wondering what to do next, where one option is to land a part time job. They found the answers when they visited a friend's farm and discovered the Kau coffee variant. They started cultivating the Kau coffee cherries in their farm and soon, started their own shop- selling authentic Kau coffee beans.

Coffee is known to stimulate the brain especially when there's a need to work for long hours. It is a student's buddy to keep her awake while reviewing for an exam. Before, coffee was drunk hot on a cup. Coffee had reached new heights thanks to Starbucks, Seattle's Best, Gloria Jean's, and other coffee chains that made it possible. In some countries, coffee became some sort of a status symbol since it could only be afford by the working class because of its steep prices.

Kau coffee cherries are carefully handpicked and cultivated by the farmer's own hands in Hawaii. The Kau Coffee Festival in Pahala is an event to celebrate the most famous coffee in Hawaii. The event will also feature a songwriting contest with the love for coffee as the main meaning. The show will also have educational talks for spectators who would want to know more about coffee and its origins.
