How to Find Airfare at a Discount

By sapibontv

People love to travel to various locations around the world. For example, a hot spot every year is the "Great Wall of China." A lot of history is built into that place, and many love to walk or see that amazing sight. Besides that, many others want to travel at a great price, and not have to pay too much because it can become expensive if a person does not do their research ahead of time.

The utmost cheapest and best way to get the most out of airfare is to go to the airlines website. When individuals call on the phone, or go through other websites, that can cause many troubles or difficulties. For example, the prices for American Airlines or Southwest may become $50 to $100 more than going through the actual airline website. People want to get the most of out of their airline experience, but do not want to pay too much.

Another route to recieving a great deal is to get a membership card through a favorite airline. When this happens through flying through them, individuals can recieve a discount on their next flight. This is the case because people want to fly again and again with them, and the airlines do not want to lose customers because in the long term, they lose money, and that is detrimental to any company. For example, Airtran Airways does membership cards, and through that people recieve a discount at an affordable price.

The last way to save money is to buy a credit card. Now before doing this make sure good credit is already established, and make an extra point to pay everytihng in full, otherwise it will become more and more difficult to pay it off. These are used to get frequent flyer miles, and individuals can recieve a huge discount at a price they can afford.

Most people want a discount at a wonderful price they can afford. However, many individuals will not pay more than $400, if they can help it because of how expensive it can become. These people are looking for ways to get a discount, and three ways are possible to make it happen. One, go to the actual airline website. Two, get a membership card through the actual airline. Three, apply for a credit card, but pay off everything in full, and make sure credit is good before going for it. Remember to shop early too before flying.

Cruise Ship Budgeting Tips

By Amanda Gamdana

Millions of individuals and families would like to go on vacation but there are just as many who lack the money and if a vacation does occur many times it is just to visit to an amusement park. But if you'd like to experience a more extravagant vacation, such as a cruise, you are advised not to limit yourself too much.

If you are interested in scheduling a cruise ship vacation, but think that you cannot then you shouldn't give up simply because of that setback since it could keep you from going on the vacation you want and more than likely deserve. To make your dreams come true for you and your family, all you have to do is a little bit of budgeting.

For many individuals, being on a budget is but a small sacrifice but for others it may be larger making saving up for a dream vacation. The first step in saving money for your cruise ship getaway is to determine where all of the money is going to which can be easily accomplished by documenting your spending habits. All you're spending, from the mortgage rent, car insurance, and that cup of coffee you bought needs to be written down.

After you note your spending habits for a week, or even a month you'll then need to examine what you've found because by now many individuals are surprised to learn how much money they are wasting on unnecessary purchases. Many times these will include but are not limited to single serve beverages, cigarettes, alcohol, and dining out.

To put money back for your cruise you will need to cut all unnecessary purchases which may at first sound easy, however usually it usually is not. Many people have to have their cigarettes or their cup of coffee in the morning. If you cannot cut back on your spending habits, you are encouraged to change them as much as you can so as one example instead of purchasing a cup of coffee each morning, you can brew your own at home. There are many other changes you can enact to stop your habits from impacting your vacation fund.

When saving for a vacation on a cruise liner you should be certain that you do manage to save the money. A lot of the time many people get into the money they saved by using their budget and spend it on something else and than what they originally intended. If you find you're having issues actually saving money you may want to open a savings account at a bank and then, along with interest you won't be quite as likely to spend the money because it's been put way.

Curbing your spending habits is the best way to raise money to take your dream vacation and though saving your money is important it is not the only way that you can make your plans while working within a budget. There are many online travel guides which may offer you significant deals and savings too, while other cruise discounts can be acquired through membership clubs or your local travel agent.

Obtaining the financing that you need for your vacation may seem like a difficult task, but given time it may become a part of your routine. Saving money and obtaining discounts for your vacation are great ways to fund your vacation but together they can save you more money than you thought you ever could.

Las Vegas Myths

By Chris Linch

Las Vegas, Nevada is a place that's larger than life. When one thinks of Vegas, they think of gambling casinos, strip joints, showgirls and huge luxurious hotels with flashing lights and dancing waters. What they usually don't realize is that this atmosphere is contained to the Las Vegas Strip. The "Strip" is just one section of Las Vegas, not the entire city.

What people don't stop to think about is that Las Vegas is simply a town just like any other. They have schools, government offices, grocery stores, parks, all the normal features that every single town in America has. If one were to visit Las Vegas and venture off of the strip, they'd find a town with normal people going about their everyday business.

It's said that prostitution is legal in Las Vegas. This is probably a popular notion due to the exhibitionist nature of the town with all the shows featuring nude showgirls. Vegas is also famous for their quickie wedding chapels and thousands of hotels. Go into any casino and you'll find beautiful women in sexy clothes. Nevertheless this is all part of the Vegas image. Prostitution is illegal and people do get arrested for solicitation in Vegas.

The Hoover Dam is a huge construction that took five years to build and used four million plus cubic yards of concrete. It was a massive feat of engineering. During the building of this dam almost a hundred workers lost their lives. The rumor circulating is that some of their bodies remain buried in the concrete still. The truth is, the concrete was poured in small increments and allowed to dry before pouring the next batch. If anyone were to have fallen into the wet concrete, they would have been easily pulled out.

Due to the idea of Las Vegas being all casinos, hotels and shows, people tend to get the idea that every Vegas resident lives and works on the strip. Women here are all strippers and gorgeous. In actually, this couldn't be further than the truth. While many of the residents may have jobs on the strip, they clock in and out and go home to their normal subdivisions in surrounding areas. Still others hold down jobs in schools, grocery stores and government offices and may rarely venture onto the strip. The women living here are normal looking just like the women in any other American town.

Once a woman who won a huge jackpot at the "Megabucks" slot machine experienced a tragic accident mere weeks after her winning and became paralyzed. Since that time a rumor has circulated that everyone who won a major jackpot at the Megabucks slot machines encountered a tragedy of sorts immediately afterwards. Even though the winners are alive and happy today, the rumors persist that they have died or have experienced some horrible incident.

Another myth includes bodies being found in a hotel's box springs. There's no proof or evidence that this ever happened in Las Vegas. It did, in fact, happen in some small town over on the east coast of the US. Somehow this incident ended up in Las Vegas as the rumor circulated.

As incredulous as this sounds, there's even a rumor that kidneys get stolen in Vegas. Apparently someone started a story of a man who awakened in a hotel room one morning to a note that advised him to call 911 or else he would experience dire circumstances. The man supposedly did so only to be told by the doctors that he was missing a kidney.

Las Vegas is quite a colorful place with a crazy present and an even more raucous past. One can be sure to hear some interesting tales about this city. Just remember to take everything you hear about Las Vegas with a little bit of caution and amusement and know that outside of the Strip, Vegas is just a normal town with ordinary people going about their business.

Vegas With Children - Enjoying Sin City With Kids

By Chris Linch

A trip to Las Vegas is a dream vacation for most people. While Sin City is more often than not portrayed as an adult playground (rightfully so), rest assured, a trip to Vegas with children is not a ludicrous thought . Many people desiring to vacation in Vegas usually want to know how they can have a good time with their children. The first step to vacation in Vegas with children is to compare various hotel room rates. Second to price, there are some obvious on Hotel venues to avoid - names worth passing over when planning a trip to Vegas with children include The Hard Rock, Hooters, and The Palms. While some might argue otherwise, beyond those three names, choose a Hotel that meets your specific needs (namely comfort and price).

When thinking of the activities children may enjoy while you indulge in more "mature" pursuits of the Sin City, it is important to consider age versus available activities. With that in mind, below we've highlighted some ideas for places to visit when enjoying vegas with children:

The Lied Discovery Museum is particularly geared to the younger set of kids. It comes equipped with play spaces, and in an educational spin, scientific "discoveries" can be made amongst its many displays. The museum also has informative children's guided tours, creating a more enjoyable and educational experience.

The Preserve of Las Vegas Springs incorporates various gardens, interactive exhibits, and desert trails that children of a more "intermediate" age will likely find enthralling. And How about Circus Circus's Adventure dome Theme Park? The amusement park is filled with carnival games, water rides, and rollercoasters. You could probably fill a couple hours here alone. Another idea for those visiting Vegas with children is to check out one of the towns many magic shows - these are likely to be particuarly enthralling for children. Some of these include David Copperfield and the Lance Burton Show at the Monte Carlo.

Elsewhere, the Mandalay Bay Shark Reef, featuring large aquariums and various forms of marine life, is worth checking out. The New York, New York arcade in Las Vegas features a rollercoaster and arcade games - an enjoyable time when visiting vegas with children of an older age. An ESPN Zone is also located within the premises - drinks and wings time!. Children and adults alike can also be entertained at the Gameworks, next to the hotel MGM Grand.

Within Caesar Hotel's Forum Shops, rides on motion machines, large fish tanks, and talking statues are available for viewing at FAO Schwarz. Freemont in Las Vegas's downtown offers free shows every half hour, and features great places to dine, such as Uncle Joe's Pizza and the Plaza Coffee Shop. The Mirage also offers the Carnegie Deli. While supervision may be required, don't skip over Margaritaville (complete with ballon blowing pirates and a children's menu). Lastly, The Dolphin Habitat and Secret Garden at the Mirage Hotel, together with the MGM Loin Habitat can make for a fun time when visiting Vegas with children.

Ultimately, while Vegas may best be known for gaming, it is in fact possible to enjoy Vegas with children - it just requires a little bit of extra planning.

Close Encounters of the Australian Kind

By Joseph Richards

Right before I moved to Australia with my husband, who is Australian, I watched a television show about the ten most deadly creatures in the world. I looked right at my husband and joked, that, if all ten were from Australia I was not moving. Little did I know I was not far off. Nine out of the ten creatures were from Australia.

My first encounter with a local arachnid came late one night when I wondered why there was a large frog shaped thing on the wall by the light switch as big as my hand. It all became clear when the light was switched on as it turned out to be a Huntsman Spider that got the shock of its life as much as I did and reared up on its hind legs and jumped at me , just missing my head and scampered away as fast as I did but in the opposite direction . These spiders, I later found out are not harmful, in fact, its good ,apparently, to have one in your house to eat the blowies (Blue bottles flies). I never did find my uninvited guest again but hoped it had been as traumatized as I was and moved out. My Husband told me that a whole can of insect Spray wont kill the big ones (mine was medium size) and they often used to fall on him when he used to clean the family car under the car port If only he had told me about that BEFORE I moved half way across the world .

Needless to say I am no better in the water .The slightest touch of something on my skin while in the sea sends me swimming faster than an Olympian even if it does turn out to be seaweed. I am not a strong swimmer so the currents terrify me , the knowledge of the fact that box- jelly fish AND killer sharks dwell in these waters petrifies me " so when Husband suggests a romantic sailing holiday in the Whitsundays , North Queensland , I have to admit to not being immediately keen but I agreed .

Whitsundays, was breathtakingly beautiful. Turtles were swimming in the shallow waters and dolphins surrounded us in the deeper waters. After trip I became a little braver about swimming in the ocean.

The water was crystal clear and mesmerizing, but was quickly ruined by a dark shadow in the depths below that seemed to be coming nearer. I began shrieking like a banshee, jumped up the ladder and found my husband laughing and pointing to what I had been swimming from. Was it a shark...NO, was it a jelly fish....NO. Just a harmless Clown Fish, the size of a dinner plate.

A Baker's Dozen of Travel Tips to Save Money on Travel

By Chris Linch

1. Be flexible. Alternate either the airport/city or the time/date you plan to travel. A rigid travel schedule is going to make it hard to save money on travel.

2. Ask for discounts or upgrades. Don't accept the hotel rate as written in stone. Often all that is required is simply to ask for a discount or ask to be upgraded to a better room. Same goes for the airplane, ask for an upgrade. If you don't ask you'll never know what you might have been able to get.

3. Remember your AAA card and always ask if there is a discount.

4. Plan your vacation in the off season. For example, if you want to go on a ski trip, plan one for the summer. You will find the resorts charging quite a bit less, and it will be less crowded.

5. When purchasing your airline tickets, don't only look for round-trip tickets but also check the one-way fares. Even if you have to travel on different airlines, use whatever means possible to get the best deal.

6. If you are going to a theme park and planning to be there for more than a few days, opt for an annual pass as it usually only costs about the equivalent of two days' worth of tickets. This will allow you to not only save cash but also to relax and not feel that you need to spend all day at the park to get your money's worth.

7. Take a shuttle from the airport to your hotel if possible. It may take a bit longer to get to your hotel and you'll be sharing with other travelers, but it's kind of fun and you may make a friend of two. It's also much cheaper than a taxi.

8. When traveling on the interstate and looking for a place to stay overnight, steer clear of the new franchise hotels if you want to save. Instead, try the mom-and-pop hotels on the old highways near the interstate that the interstate replaced years ago, or even a bed and breakfast.

9. If visiting a water park, check on their "twilight" pricing. Usually if you go later in the day you save a substantial amount off the entrance fee.

10. Consider vacation packages. All-inclusive deals that bundle air, hotel, and entertainment are often cheaper than buying everything separately. These are sometimes outstanding values for the money.

11. Sign up for email alerts from the online travel agencies. These will let you know when airfare falls below a certain point so you can quickly jump on the deal and secure your tickets.

12. Book early or book late. If you aren't able to book your airfare tickets well in advance, you might score a great deal by waiting till the very last minute. Since airlines want to fill all their seats, they will oftentimes discount heavily at the last minute just to get those seats filled.

13. Have a "staycation." Stay home and save money on hotel, airfare, and car rental, and enjoy the touristy places in your area that you never have time to explore normally. You'll be surprised what's in your own backyard.

Gringo Guide to Speaking Spanish - Instantly know what to say!

By Dr Jay Polmar

My Story: I had a challenge. I needed to move to Mexico for my health and to retire, and I spoke English; I also knew a few words of French from high school, about 12 words of Spanish which could wind me up in fight or jail, yeah - mostly curse words.

I was in trouble and when I arrived I needed help. Luckily I met Reuben Varela, a well known Restauranteur at the Hot Springs in San Juan Cosala, Jalisco, Mexico and Gerardo Tolentino, an English teacher who was struggling with teaching English. Reuben pushed me to find ways of learning and practicing Spanish, and Gerardo worked with me to create the Gringo Guide.

Reuben pushed me to find ways of learning and practicing Spanish, and Gerardo worked with me to create the Gringo Guide. I'm the gringo -- and I sure needed a guide to get me through the experience of living in Mexico.

We talked to them and asked them what they needed, and we listened to what they asked of the waiters, restaurant owners, etc. Later, then Gerardo accompanied me to doctors and we went to travel through Mexico.

By the time we were finished, so was the book and we had part of it recorded so that pronunciation would be no problem for anyone to learn. The book was finished and put up on our site speedread.org

Now, you can speak like native in Spanish speaking countries/Mexico. It's that easy.

Now, everyone I know who visits Mexico, Spanish or anywhere else in Latin America - can speak like a expat that lives in Mexico. It's that easy.

The audios cover every pecularity of pronounciation in the Spanish language. The printed book will fit in your shirt pocket for use whenever you want. The electronic pdf will fit on pocket devices to help you communicate on the spot with electronic support.

You'll immediately know the answer -- una marguerita, una coca, una limonada, un modelo negro (beer), or whatever you want, por favor! Fulfill all your needs to communicate in Spanish for Spain, Mexico or Latin America?

The book comes with a full guide, by sections to learn, use, and get answers to all your questions. It's guaranteed to make your vacation -- fantastic.

In Summer Festivals

By Ian Kleine

Going into a summer festival whether day or night, is a very fun and enjoyable experience for the family. It provides a good opportunity for bonding with your kids (or for the kids to bond with their families, who oftentimes do not meet anymore due to constraints in time). So anyway, you decide to spend your time with them in the state fair, or maybe in the state festival. And we do it at night. We don't want anyone fainting from heat stroke, or getting singed due to sunburn. But there is a hidden threat lurking in the next corner. Or rather, flying around.

Yes, insects. More specifically, the toxic ones. Or if not, those that carry diseases with them. These are some of the hidden dangers of going out into a festival. Festivals bring people together. And where there's people together, heat emanates from all around. And when that happens, this attracts insects from miles and miles away, those who are expecting a good meal.

In a surprising revelation, most parents do not realize the relevance of insect repellents in these types of situations. The AAP or the American Academy of Pediatrics strongly recommend you use insect repellents if going out with children on haphazard festival sites, like an open field or by the river or lakeside. A lot of these places harbor breeding grounds for insects and diseases.

If you are not the type to place various emollients on your kid's skin, you might want to resort to something more time-tested (that is if your kid doesn't really care about making a fashion statement. Most teenage girls would scorn at you for this).

Have your kids dress into something loose-fitting, and one that has long sleeves and non-bright colors. Long sleeves for protection of the arms from bites and the dark colors to deter insects from detecting you (bright colors apparently attract more insects than those who don't).

How to Get the Cheapest Fare

By sapibontv

Traveling can get expensive but there are ways to help keep your travel costs down and make sure you get the cheapest fares available. Whether you are flying by boat, plane, train, or bus you should be able to cut way down on your travel expenses by taking some quick advice on getting the cheapest fares around.

One of the ways you can reduce your fares is by booking your trip in advance. Many companies will offer discounts to travelers that book their tickets 30 days or more in advance. This is especially true with airlines, and if you can book your trip even further in advance then you will find that your fares could be even lower.

Use the discount websites to find low fares on travel. If you stick with the more popular and well known websites, then you should not have any problem finding fares that are cheap and available. If you need to book other things like hotels and rental cars, then considering using these sites for those things as well. The more you can save by planning on a discount website the better off you are.

If you are flying then you may want to consider flying on stand by. Many airlines offer discounts, or other forms of compensation such as free ticket vouchers for future flights, to passengers that agree to fly stand by. It can be difficult to schedule a trip around flying stand by, but the savings would make it worth the hassle.

One way that you can lower the cost of your fares is consider alternate forms of transportation. If you are flying to a destination, then check and see if you have time to take the train or the bus instead. These alternative forms of transportation are going to be much less expensive, and if you do have the time to take the train or the bus then you get the added benefit of being able to take in the beautiful countryside on your trip.

A Budget Hotel That is Placed in the Best Part of Town

By Chris Linch

Truth be told, Pennsylvania Hotel New York has had a tumultuous time throughout its history. While like every hotel it has endured its fair share of complaints, there are those who do view it as a charismatic and undeniable monument that is reflective of its location. Placed in the middle of the world's stage, the Hotel Pennsylvania truly does come alive with regard to the numbers of visitors on an annual basis. The reason for this is New York City. One would debate that the location of this gigantic building is the main attractions to most tourists who visit every year.

Yet it would be unfair to categorise the Hotel Pennsylvania as a mediocre hotel, simply because it is not. Although, there has been the odd visitor who has regarded it as a luxury hotel, the fact of the matter is that it is a budget hotel that caters to those who are travelling on a budget. The reality is that the Hotel Pennsylvania offer adequate accommodation for that proverbial tourist or visitor who is constantly on the go. Such is the location of this hotel; anyone would be hard pressed to stay indoors, since the main attraction is the city outside where fun and frolic are all part and parcel of any holiday.

Pennsylvania Hotel in NYC, is should be noted is the bearer of a rich and illustrious history. Many a famous visitor has ended up at its doors to enjoy the company of other celebrities. This property alone has endured much in terms of debate amongst writers and artists who have enthusiastically spoken well of it and some who have spoken not so enthusiastically about it. Yet it is a property that has its own brand of charm which the majority of visitors will no doubt succumb to in due course during their holiday. In fact, it is a celebrity in its own right.

It would be advisable at this point to talk a bit about the many attractions and places of visit that this conveniently placed hotel offers its residents. One of the must visit places should ideally be Broadway which is located a mere kilometre away. It is indubitably one of the more endearing attractions of our times. Worshipped and adored by millions throughout the world, Broadway does offer a myriad of shows which would appeal to even the younger generation in families. Shows such as Cats, Mary Poppins, White Christmas, The Phantom of the Opera and even The Lion King could be viewed. Yet it goes without saying that shows are bound to change depending on the month and year.

Hotel Pennsylvania New York also promises so many other places in the nearby vicinity that are surely worth a visit. For example there is the Madison Square Garden which is close by. It has been regarded as the "World's Most Famous Arena". Touting a rich history of its own, this veritable property has been famously involved in many events as well. Besides being associated with the World Wrestling Federation, this property has also been associated with various award winning musical acts such as Coldplay. However, it goes without saying, one of the more famed and Tinsel town like moments would have been the event where Marilyn Monroe sang "Happy Birthday, Mr President" to President John F Kennedy who was celebrating his 45th birthday.

New York City is undoubtedly a place that offers much in terms of luxury, history and culture. The Hotel Pennsylvania happens to be the lucky recipient of these attractions, so it comes as little wonder that there are thousands of individuals who visit this property, just so that they can see a city that the world loves.

Nosara Costa Rica Vacation - The Unspoiled Gem of Guanacaste

By Lisa Khajavi

When I want to unwind and unplug at the beach I head for Nosara. The feel of this seaside town is relaxed yet upscale, and has some pleasantly familiar tones for a California native like me that echo holistically oriented communities like Santa Cruz, for example. At the same time, it is uniquely Costa Rican with a Guanacasteco flair.

Nosara is part of the proudly independent Guanacaste Province, that was once part of Nicaragua. The focus on wellness is represented well and genuinely in what the area is best known for: surfing and yoga. You dont need to partake of these, however, to completely enjoy and appreciate your Nosara vacation. Thankfully not too many people know about Nosara yet, and I am hoping that this unspoiled gem can stay low key for a long while to come. The town is 40 miles from the nearest paved road, and boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in all of Costa Rica. What I really appreciate is the strong sense of community and the commitment to keeping Nosaras water and environment healthy and clean. The Nosara Civic Association was established to represent the interests of the people living in the region in a sustainable way. The community is inviting to locals and foreigners alike, and I simply just feel at ease whenever I visit. Pura Vida is alive and well in Nosara!

My family and I especially enjoy the Harmony Hotel on Playa Guiones:

The ambiance, the caring staff, and the sustainable practices pull it all together in an elegant, yet relaxed environment that leaves all of us refreshed and recharged after every visit.

The cuisine is a natural extension of the focus on health and wellness, with many vegetarian options, no red meat, and plenty of organic fruits and vegetables, as well as just-caught-fresh fish and seafood.

The juice bar has many inventive concoctions including both beverages such as Ginger Lassi (Indian yogurt drink), and fun vegetarian appetizers such as coconut-lime ceviche-delicious! Reflecting a harmonious way of living, the kitchen uses organic ingredients whenever possible.

The rooms are natural, roomy and very private with a great indoor/outdoor feel. One of the best kept secrets is the Harmony House. It is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom beauty and simply elegant.

The open kitchen, dining and sitting area open onto an expansive patio boasting the best views in Nosara. You can check the surf on Guiones below, while floating in the infinity pool. We stayed with family and had an incredible time.

The Harmony staff even offered to shop for our family dinner we insisted on cooking together in the fully equipped kitchen. It is the best of both worlds: a private beach house , fully equipped and with all the amenities of a hotel. Perfect for families up to 6. The natural wood and crisp white linens work well and the amenities include organic products locally made for you to enjoy during your stay.

The pools are easy on the skin, leaving no harsh chemical burn because the treatment is done with salt water instead of chlorine.

The spa is wonderfully appointed with tantalizing services including a chocolate wrap, using organic cacao and coconut oil.

The coffee rub is amazing and invigorating with great anti-oxidant effect.

The spa also uses organic ingredients as much as possible, for example insisting on organic coffee beans only for the coffee rub from a local family producer.

There are yoga classes overlooking a pond with lotus blossoms, a natural juice bar, ping pong table, and great little store with art supplies, books and many other gems.

The very short stroll to the beach will reveal the long, pristine Playa Guiones with surfing, boogie boarding and a private palapa (with attendant) where you may leave your belongings while you frolic in the sea.

There are many local tours and activities to choose from in addition to the very popular surfing, boogie boarding, yoga and spa treatments. These include kayaking the Rio Garza, Rio Montana, or Rio Nosara, ocean kayaking, bird watching, waterfall hike, Ostional Turtle Nesting, canopy tours, horseback riding, estuary boat tours, among others. One of the best natural highlights is the Lagarta Lodge Biological Reserve Tour, which is very near to the Harmony Hotel. The private reserve is 125 acres along the Nosara river mangroves boasting an abundance of plants and animals including herons, waders, seabirds, motmots, monkeys, coatis, armadillos, anteaters, crabs, iguanas and many others. The best time for animal activity is early morning, and after the tour it is a wonderful option to enjoy the breakfast buffet at the Lagarta Lodge with a lovely ocean view.

Some other highlights include the local eatery/bar/bakery called Cafe de Paris. This is a great spot, right in the heart of town, with a wonderfully diverse menu, yummy bakery and extensive beverage selection. You will find unique German and Belgian beer, along with many tropical drinks, and eclectic international wines. The Black Sheep Pub up in the Nosara hills is a fun place with a great view and vibe. Strolling through the surf shops and boutiques in town, you will find an old fashioned ice cream shop with giant waffle cones and a super wide variety of flavors. You will meet locals, North Americans, Europeans, South Americans all in a very enjoyable, easy setting. If you want to unplug and unwind, with a focus on well-being, you will love Nosara, too.

Ways to Find Great Alaska Vacation Bargains

By Jason W. Van Den Waalt

Until recently, it was quite easy to find cheap Alaska cruise pricing. Now, such bargains are getting harder and harder to find, with demand for Alaska cruises going through the roof.

So can you really still save a bundle of money on your cruise? Is it still even a possibility to vacation in Alaska while sticking to a budget? The answer is a loud YES! You definitely can find great Alaska cruise deals these days -- if you know when and where to look.

Many people assume that the best way to find discount Alaska cruises is to wait until the last minute. But while this method used to work reasonably well (and still works very well for Caribbean cruises, due to the larger number of ships in that region), it is no longer a very effective strategy for Alaskan cruises.

Alaskan cruise ships all too frequently sell out far in advance, especially for the months of July and August. Despite their higher cost, balcony rooms tend to be the first to sell out, especially on Holland America cruises. Therefore, if you have year heart set on taking a cruise in the middle of summer, the way to ensure that you get the lowest fare is to book many months in advance.

Of course, if you are more flexible about your sail date and/or your cabin category, you dramatically increase your likelihood of locating some great Alaska cruise deals.

The best months for deals are May and September, the beginning and end of the Alaska cruise season. Of all the weeks in the Alaska cruise season, the lowest cost fares tend to be found in the very first week of May, when prices can be half of the peak mid-season fares.

Naturally, you can also save quite a bit by sailing in a lower priced room. Cabins on the inside of the ship can be half to a third the price of some of the higher priced cabins on an Alaskan cruise. Inside rooms have no windows and can be a little smaller than ocean view rooms, but they can be a wonderful bargain, especially since many people spend so little times in their rooms anyway.

You should know that if you have a problem with tight spaces, you might not want to book an inside room. Nonetheless, you can still find a great Alaskan cruise deal on an outside room. A certain percentage of outside cabins on most cruise ships possess obstructed views of the eater, due frequently to a lifeboat outside the cabin window.

These obstructed view cabins are often quite a bit cheaper than regular ocean view rooms. In fact, obstructed view cabins can be almost as cheap as inside rooms, yet they have windows, which can often help lessen people's claustrophobia.

Sure, you still can locates many, many deals on cruises to Alaska. Remember, no matter what, cruises still are a great deal and they are the cheapest way to see the Great State of Alaska, hands down.

What To do With Your Hard-Earned Money

By Mara Hernandez-Capili

Crafters who set up a crafting business are usually left with money from their income generating hobby. It is advisable that they learn wise spending and saving habits so that they would not run out of money in time of need. This article is dedicated to entrepreneurs who would like to make their money grow and save it wisely for the hard times.

First thing that an entrepreneur should remember is to allot a certain percentage (10% is most applicable) of their profit to give away to their chosen church or charitable organization. For some, this is not easy to follow especially for those who are not used to giving away a percentage of their income. This concept lies entirely to the saying that you should give in order to receive. It is true and very proven as some financial experts or gurus attest the authenticity behind this teaching. Learn to give because in giving, you create a hole inside your money bank that the universe will eagerly fill.

The next advice is to allot a certain percentage for your retirement fund. Twenty percent of your earnings is advisable to set aside monthly for your retirement fund. Some people might say that it is too early to start building your retirement fund but this is not the case. A lot of elders or senior citizens survive through their Social Security pension or through the assistance of their children just because they were not able to prepare well for their retirement fund. Other worst cases are those who still continue to work despite of their old age.

The third tip is to allot your money in various growth funds. Growth funds are venues where they make use of your money as funds for companies and other institutions. There are also instances where your money will suffer a slight loss, but this should not be a reason to despair. Investing your money in growth funds is a quick and fun way to watch your money earn.

Last tip is to invest in various businesses which will provide you with different sources of your income. I personally believe that it is safest to have different sources of income so you can have other sources in case one of them fails.

Your Caribbean Island Cruise Guide

By Lindelwa Laz

A Caribbean cruise vacation is the ultimate deal and if you have not tried it yet, now is the time; treat yourself and be treated like royalty while you spend time on these idyllic tropical islands. You can have everything you want with a different Caribbean island every day and all the wonderful evening entertainment of a resort on board the cruise liner. Some people only take a short break and visit perhaps only a couple of islands as part of a larger vacation but most people are doing a tour of as many islands as they can with some lasting over two weeks.

Sailing is an excellent way to enjoy yourself and this includes a person who just wants to send all day on board enjoying the entertainment to someone who can't wait to explore all the new sights. Don't think for one moment that there will not be enough to occupy you as cruise liners are the equivalent of floating vacation resorts that have a different view every day.

Before making the trip, it is wise to find out more, so go to your nearest travel agent to find the right package, but you can also find comments and reviews online. Don't forget that there are a large number of Caribbean islands so cruise liners have a arranged packages which reflect certain island themes as they cannot visit every island in such a short space of time.

If your ideal cruise vacation includes partying by the beach or the deck pool, even at a disco well then choose a cruise with plenty of activities. Some Caribbean cruise liner companies actually produce virtual tours and other information on DVD's which can be collected from your travel agent or ordered online.

It is never a good idea to put off travel preparations until the week before your trip, instead, you should start as soon as you book your trip and the type you've booked is vital to preparation. A large number of cruise ships sail international waters and in addition, there are many that stop at international ports. Before you can board, you may need to present identification and on international cruises this identification often includes a passport, as well as a driver's license.

A huge problem, when it comes to getting a passport that some people will wait till the last minute and although last minute passports can be obtained in the event of an emergency, most require at least a week or more to process. You aren't immediately supplied with a passport but must instead apply for one and while almost all individuals that fill out the application are granted one, planning ahead is the best option. So then. if an error is made on the information you supplied, you will have enough time then you can repair any mistakes before it's time to set sail.

A passport and license aren't the only documentation that you'll need. If you have health insurance, you are encouraged to take your cards. In the event you fall ill while on vacation, your insurance cards will allow you to get treatment.

With the cards you should take along all of your needed medications, in fact you may even want to consider packing extra meds. A number of physicians will actually write extra physicians for their patients that are traveling on a cruise ship so should your medication become lost or misplaced, the extra prescriptions can be used until you make it home. When you ask for extra meds from your health care provider, you should also ask questions regarding safety onboard ship.

To pay for onboard and activities on port you'll need extra money. Vacationing at sea is exactly like taking a vacation to any other location in the world so you are encouraged to carry huge amounts of money. If you have to take cash with you you are encouraged to split your money and put it all in safe locations though the majority of ships and ports take credit cards, cashiers checks, money orders, or traveler's checks which are good alternatives to packing cash.

When taking a cruise you are advised to make a copy of the vessels itinerary to your friends and family members which will make it possible for you to be found in case of emergency. When registering for a cruise ship, you might also need to give the contact information for a person that can be contacted in the event of an emergency. Your initial thought might be to provide the information on your spouse, children, or a close friend but if you do so you should ensure that they will be on land and easily accessible.
