Places to Go on Your Next South Pacific Holiday

The South Pacific is renowned for a lot more than being the title of a popular Broadway musical. Its also home to breathtaking tropical islands, Polynesian culture, world war two historical sites, coral reefs, volcanoes, and more. There are thousands of exotic islands in the South Pacific that make fabulous holiday spots. Some of the more well known islands are Fiji, French Polynesia, The Cook Islands, and Micronesia.

With so many tropical destinations to choose from, there is something for everybody in the South Pacific. Some islands are so small they are only beach and a surrounding reef. Others are so big they contain volcanoes, lots of wildlife, and even canyons. For the lover of tropical beaches, you have many options if you head to this part of the world. If you love adventure, you should make it a point to visit Fiji. Though the country has over three hundred islands, most of the action happens on the western islands. Fiji has excellent diving, there is mountain climbing, para sailing, surfing, and much more. If you want to party, make sure to visit the Yasawa islands where all those seeking a good time flock to.

For romantic holidays, French Polynesia is the place you should go. The islands that make up this area are known for beauty and luxury. Bora Bora and Tahiti are famous with honeymooners and jet setters around the world. These islands will cater to every need and spare no expense doing it. French Polynesia is not cheap and a holiday to Tahiti could be expensive

Vanautu lies just south of the Solomon Islands and is a great place to go that is off the beaten path. Underwater visibility is great here and there seems to be a limitless amount of schools of colorful fish as well as a lot of submerged WWII wreckages. Above sea level, the scenery only gets more amazing, with beautiful palm trees, white sand beaches, and a clear blue sky.

For those going to Micronesia, you can enjoy spectacular diving at the many underwater wrecks. The ruins of Nan Madol in Pohnpei are also worth the trip, providing a fascinating view back to the 13th century Saudeleur dynasty who ruled there. Or just want to calm down, find a nice atoll and enjoy the beautiful sun It's the kind of place where you pack your watch away and forget about time for a while.

If you are looking for spectacular tropical islands, you cant beat the South Pacific islands. These islands offer some of the best beaches, best diving, best ocean in the world. There is also great food and culture here too. After an active day outdoors, nothing beats a night under the stars and good food to finish the perfect day.
